Changing Workforce

If you read my 2011 Generations at Work white paper, you know that I wrote a paragraph on diversity, stating that the make-up of the workforce is changing. Today I found this Infographic on the rise of women in the workforce. 2010 was the first year in which women made up more than half of the workforce in the US. Around the world, the number of female students exceeds the number of male students. However, it would be wrong to assume that the make-up of the workforce will also change in other countries. There are too many variables that influence women in the workforce, like society, having children, social issues. Nevertheless, due to the rising amount of retiring baby boomers, we must find a way to utilize all the available human capital if we want to sustain our companies and standards of living.
